About Zee Avi

2 jam aku ngadap pc, buka web tu buka web nih terdetik di hati nak usha you tube. Buka you tube aku terjumper Zee Avi nama cam familiar jew, then baru aku terigt ni kan Kokokaina. So ape lagi aku usha la you tube dia. rupa2nya dia nak kuarkan album baru, pergh lagu semua besh2. Aku pun layan la. so cam biasa la lagu besh per agi aku wat la review sal minah nih.

Anak kelahiran Miri, Sarawak yg berusia 23 tahun ini mula berjinak2 dgn dunia muzik ini seawal usia 17 tahun. Dia yg sememang berdarah seni dtg drpad ayahnya yg juga seorg penyanyi,pemain double bass,accordion, violon dan gitar di dlm sebuah band. (xheran la klu dia mmg terer main guitar) Ketika dia berusia 12 tahun, dia telah berpindah dr Sarawak ke Kuala Lumpur, dan dia stop bermain guitar selama 4 tahun kerana belajar fesyen design di london.

Balik ajer dr London dia menyambung minat nyanyianya dgn lebih mendalam. so pengaruh you tube masa kini agak femes, dia mula merakam nyanyian dan menguploadkan ke dlm you tube untuk kwn2nya dgr nyanyiannya. Akibat dr perbuatannya dia menerima komen yg positif dr seorg yg tidak dikenalinya. Org itu tlh meletakkan video Zee Avi didlm websitenya   ( org tersebut adalah Kris Rowley, a U.K. singer-songwriter patut arr minah ni xcited giler). Sebelum hari lahirnya yg ke 22 tahun dia telah menguploadkan lagi 3 video ke dlm youtube iaitu my last video, a holiday song and No Christmas for Me. After that dia telah menerima email dr Ian Montone dan telah mengoffer untuk merielisasikan album dia dibwh label monotone. Dlm masa yg sama Zee Avi dlm perjalanan ker L.A untuk merekodkan debutnya bersama producer Robert Carranza at Brushfire’s Solar Powered Plastic Plant. lagu ” No Christmas for Me” merupakan featured didlm album holiday charity, this Warm December, A Brushfire Holiday, Vol 1.

Antara influencesnya adalah Cat Power, Regina Spektor( pergh minah nih mmg besh), Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Jolie Holland, Daniel Johnston and Chris Garneau, to jazz greats Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, to classics like Velvet Underground and Led Zeppelin. The thought of solitude, hardships, heartaches, tough luck, and tough breaks. Oh, and then there’s Jazz, Blues, Antifolk and Modern Baroque. Mak aih standard antarabangsa minah nih.
